Mike Lukas

Foregoing a rising corporate computing career, Mike Lukas spent over 25 years writing, performing, and improvising comedy around the world. He made multiple national TV, radio, and comedy festival appearances, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (twice), Late Night with Conan O’Brien (twice), CBS Radio, and the Montreal, Chicago, and Aspen Comedy Festivals. A national headliner at America’s top comedy clubs, he also hosted and co-wrote The Straight Dope on A&E.

As part of The Second City, he understudied for the mainstage in Chicago before joining the cast in Las Vegas and touring nationally. He also co-hosted and produced Crackin’ Up on CBS Radio in Los Angeles.

Rich Talarico (Key & Peele, MADtv, SNL, The Tonight Show, Second City) calls Mike “a brilliant, hyper-observant, comic.” Comedian Tom Clark (Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central) says, “Watching Mike on stage reminds me of watching old clips of Steve Martin—funny, silly, physical comedy—that would leave you doubled over with laughter.”

Now hammering his keyboard in Dallas, Mike co-raises his two babies while cranking out twisted short stories, novels, and non-fiction books that unlock the secrets of the universe.
