After a hit run at Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica—and a feature in the LA Times—The Big D is making its Dallas debut for one night only!

Divorced? Separated? Divorce-curious?
Whether you’re officially untethered or just tired of swiping, The Big D is the comedy-dating show you didn’t know you needed.

Created and hosted by comedian Julie Golden, The Big D is a hilarious, heart-forward night where real divorced singles get matched live on stage by a panel of comic “matchmakers.”

Here’s how it works:
💘 ***Three divorced bachelors and three divorced bachelorettes (or divorced-adjacent—no judgment!) are invited up for a short, funny interview (***all preselected before the show-no surprise gotchas for audience!***).
💬 Comics pair them up for a mini speed date—complete with thought-provoking, occasionally spicy prompts.
🎟 Then the audience votes on their favorite couple, and the winners walk away with $100... and maybe a second date.

The audience is single too, so the mingling starts before the show and continues after. It’s basically one big, hilarious, no-pressure group date—with cocktails.

6:30PM - Doors Open
7PM-7:30PM – Single Mingle 🍸💬

9:30PM – Post-Show Mingle ✨

A former film executive turned true crime podcaster turned comedy host (yes, it’s been a journey), Julie brings sharp wit and real heart to the stage. The Big D blends real-time matchmaking, audience participation, and a panel of comedian “love experts” — think The Dating Game meets Whose Line Is It Anyway, for people who’ve been through some things.

She recently brought Emmy & Grammy winner Kathy Griffin onstage as a celebrity bachelorette, and now she’s taking the show on the road — because heartbreak might be local, but laughter is universal.
